Internships

The British Embassy Tokyo / British Consulate-General Osaka occasionally offers internship opportunities in its diplomatic posts in Tokyo and Osaka as part of the wider FCDO policy promoting internship as a means of encouraging talented people to experience FCDO work, and the challenges of working in foreign affairs. This includes learning how we help business, interact with Japanese decision makers and support British nationals living in Japan. It is ideal for those who wish to broaden their skills and experience in a real-world environment. Internships offered usually run for fourteen to eighteen weeks according to hosting section needs. They are based on a specific project and at the end of the period the hiring manager provides comprehensive feedback on the internship.

Strategic ACI is seeking a Records Management Specialist who will be primarily responsible for the Army PEO’s Records Management Program and associated support functions and coordination of the program.Responsibilities :

  • Applies specialized knowledge of records management program disciplines and identifies procedures and methodologies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in the life cycle management (creation, retention, maintenance, processing, use, safeguarding, declassification, and final disposition) of the organizations records and documentation.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Army (DA), and Assistance Secretary of the Army-Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA-ALT) policies to ensure compliance with rules and regulations relating to a variety of programs and processes.

Qualifications :Required:

  • Current and Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 2 years of related experience.
  • Specialized experience with government and Industry records management governance and execution.
  • Must successfully complete necessary governmental/corporate security training.

  • Assist with enterprise content management, both in structured and unstructured electronic systems
  • Maintain and keep updated policies and procedures related to information governance and records management
  • Maintain and keep updated the records retention schedule, based on changes in legal requirements
  • Provide records management advice related to new IT systems and processes
  • Maintain a network of Records Champions across the Village and maintain regular communication with this network
  • Develop, maintain, and update records management related training and education for the Village
  • Advise legal, IT, and business teammates on records management and information governance best practice and legal updates, as necessary
  • Communicate expectations for scope and deadlines to internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain an understanding of records management / information governance technology used to support the industry

Experience & EducationQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • CRM, IGP, or other records management / information governance related certification preferred
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Information Governance and Records Management, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Healthcare / life sciences business experience preferred

Professional Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience resolving challenging records management issues and proven ability to deliver sound, clear, practical advice in a corporate business setting
  • Outstanding ability to organize, prioritize, and execute projects and programs
  • Understanding of regulatory, legal, privacy, security, technology, and market trends that impact records management and information governance
  • Thorough knowledge of records management and information governance related rules, regulations, and best practices
  • Basic understanding of eDiscovery is preferred
  • Broad understanding of ranges of IT, including IT terminology, IT processes, commonly used IT systems and applications
  • International records management experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability for critical thinking and complex problem solving
  • Demonstrated strengths in communication skills both verbal and written: ability to communicate to varying levels from leadership to field teams
  • Demonstrated strengths in project management, action oriented, able to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines, and process focused
  • Demonstrated strengths in analytical problem solving: analyze complex tasks, develop options, thorough and thought out plans inclusive of alternatives
  • High degree of independent judgment, sound character, and willingness to support teammates to maximize their talents and skills
  • Able to function in a team environment, being flexible and responsive to changing priorities, and having an appropriate sense of urgency in completing tasks and projects
  • Ability to plan, schedule and monitor work, within set targets
